Seeing as it is Christmas time, it's time that the MPHG Executive Board gave itself an early gift. Actually, it's not only a gift for the Exec Board, but also for the committed members of our profession who have shown interest and dedication to our cause. On behalf of the Exec Board, I would like to welcome/introduce our inaugural members:
Al Watson, Kevin Martin, Lisa Trochim, Mike Spence, and Wade Fisher.
As you can see, we only have 5 new members and 4 Exec team members making the MPHG a nine member unit (for now). It is below the original plan of 10 t0 12 members for January 2008 however the dedication shown by this group will fill in the gaps until new members can be identified. Our goal for MPHG membership continues to be 20 to 24 in the next couple of years. The biggest impact on our ability to reach this goal is commitment level by applicants and our finances. Speaking about finances - we are fundraising by selling Super Bowl Pool tickets. All 9 members of MPHG have tickets for sale ($2/ticket). Get them while they're hot.
We are in the process of waiting for our second fitting for all 9 members of MPHG - we are hoping to unveil our uniformed Honour Guard at the PAM AGM on January 12. See you then.
